Skopje, 30 October 2023 (MIA) — Macedonian filmmaker Vardan Tozija's "M" (2023) will be screened at the Trieste Science + Fiction Festival held on Oct. 27 to Nov. 1, the Film Agency of North Macedonia said in a press release.

According to the release, the festival in Trieste is "an innovative, influential and dynamic event" organized by La Cappella Underground film and audiovisual research and experimentation center.

This will be the first time Tozija’s feature film has been screened in Italy.

The dystopian story of a lonely boy wandering in the woods, the release says, is a coproduction between North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo and France. mr/
