Trenchevska to take part in Istanbul UNFPA regional conference on gender-responsive family policies
Skopje, 21 September 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska will participate in a regional conference of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on gender-responsive family policies, taking place in Istanbul.
“These policies are of great importance in establishing balance between the private and professional life of women and men in the private and public sectors. The conference will be an opportunity to learn about the good practices of other countries and the possibilities to apply them in our context,” the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said in a press release on Wednesday.
At the conference, Minister Trenchevska is to speak about progress achieved in terms of gender-responsive demographic policies in the country and future steps that will be in line with changing family formations and structures and the evolution of demographic trends.
The conference will be attended by about 100 representatives of UN agencies, members of governments and parliaments of countries from Eastern Europe and Central Asia, universities, private companies , etc.
