Transport Minister Bochvarski meets UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy Vickers
Skopje, 16 February 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski met Wednesday with UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the Western Balkans Martin Vickers.
Bochvarski presented capital projects in the area of rail and road infrastructure, as well as development of air traffic in the country, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said in a press release.
Talks particularly focused on the construction of the railway Corridor 8, as well as implementing Intelligent Transport System on Corridor 10.
“I had the special honor to discuss about infrastructure projects implemented in the Republic of North Macedonia. I see this meeting as the beginning of new cooperation with all companies from the United Kingdom interested to join public calls in the implementation of projects in road and rail infrastructure,” said Bochvarski.
He extended gratitude to Vickers, pointing out that such meetings are of significant interest to greater economic cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier on Wednesday, UK’s Vickers also met with Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi. The two discussed possibilities for British investments in major projects in the area of energy, infrastructure and environment.
