Skopje, 25 July 2025 (MIA) - Dry roads are reported nationwide, with increased traffic outside urban areas and no delays at border crossings except Tabanovce and Bogorodica where drivers should expect to wait 30-40 minutes to enter and exit the country.

As of July 1, heavy vehicles exceeding 15 tons are subject to restrictions on all state roads during weekends and extremely hot days through August 31 to mitigate summer traffic congestion. 

In addition, a ban on heavy vehicles exceeding 7.5 tons is in place during weekends and holidays on the A2 highway section between Skopje and Ohrid through September 1. 

Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
