Traffic: Slippery roads, snow chains mandatory on Tetovo – Popova Shapka route

Snow chains are mandatory for motorists driving the Tetovo – Popova Shapka route, and trucks are banned from the Strazha, Gjavato and Mavrovo mountain passes.
As of Nov. 15, 2024, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2025, regardless of the weather.
As of Nov. 15, 2024, the Ohrid – Resen route through the Galichica National Park is closed to all traffic.
Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
