Toshkovski - Tiganj: Croatia is a major supporter of our efforts for EU integration and building a European police force

Skopje, 5 July 2024 (MIA) – Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski and Bureau for Public Security Director Aleksandar Janev met Friday with Croatian Ambassador Nives Tiganj.
As reported by the Interior Ministry, Minister Toshkovski expressed sincere thanks for the cooperation so far, particularly during the period of the technical government, and expressed his belief that this cooperation will continue to develop with the same intensity in the future.
“Minister Toshkovski pointed out that Croatia, as one of our most important European friends, will continue to provide its support in line with the reform efforts aimed at bringing us closer to EU standards. He expressed hope for a forthcoming bilateral meeting with the Croatian colleague to further deepen cooperation. The Director of the Bureau for Public Security, Aleksandar Janev, also confirmed the excellent cooperation between the two police forces in the past, which he expects will further intensify, especially in terms of information exchange aimed at combating transnational crime, both at the bilateral level and through international security institutions,” Interior Ministry said in a press release.
Ambassador Tiganj commended the past cooperation as excellent and indicated that the Republic of Croatia is the main supporter of our EU integration processes.
“Ambassador Tiganj expressed her special gratitude for the project through which our police officers are sent to Croatia every summer to support the Croatian police’s intensified efforts during the tourist season,” reads the press release.
