Tetovo court sentences former hospital directors to 18 months' probation

Tetovo, 5 June 2023 (MIA) — The Tetovo court has sentenced former Tetovo Hospital directors Florin Besimi and Artan Etemi to 18 months' probation, MIA's Tetovo correspondent reports.

They were found guilty of serious crimes against public safety. Their conditional sentences are dependent on their not repeating the crime in the following three years.

Doctor Boban Vuchevski, charged with failing to comply with health regulations, was acquitted. Also cleared of the same criminal charges was the Tetovo Hospital.

However, the hospital was found guilty of serious crimes against public safety. It was ordered to pay a fine of Mden 1,000,000 for the fire in its modular COVID-19 center that killed 14 people in September 2021. mr/
