Talks with strategic partner on Corridor 8 to begin on Monday

Skopje, 3 February 2023 (MIA) - The Government decided Friday to task the negotiating committee over the implementation of the project for construction of infrastructure Corridor 8 to start talks with the strategic partner on Monday, February 6.

The Government has tasked the negotiating team with all details and criteria of the Agreement on construction of Corridor 8 (motorway section Tetovo-Gostivar-Bukojchani and project on motorway Trebenishta-Struga-Kjafasan) and Corridor 10 (motorway section Prilep-Bitola).

The negotiating team will submit a report on the outcome to be reviewed and approved by the negotiating committee within 21 days from the completion of the negotiations, the Government said in a press release.

The Government also reviewed and adopted the Report on the requirement to file a Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) application for an investment grant used for the construction of express road Kriva Palanka-Dlabochica-Stracin, as part of Corridor 8.

The construction of this express road is implemented through a World Bank loan within the Road Upgrading and Development Project, reads the press release.
