Skopje, 26 October 2023 (MIA) - The Embassy of Sweden in Skopje is opening a vacancy for the position of “Ambassador for a Day”, as part of the #GirlsTakeOver global initiative whereby girls throughout the world occupy positions of power in connection with International Day of the Girl Child on 11 October. 

The vacancy is open for girls aged 15+, who care deeply about gender equality, equal opportunities for women and girls, as well as ending violence against women and girls.

According to the Embassy, the candidate is expected to be shadowing Ambassador Ami Larsson Jain throughout the day, take active part in external meetings with other diplomats, decision makers and representatives from the civil society, as well as interact with the Embassy staff.

At the end of the working day, the candidate will be expected to present a short report on the work she has done. Work will start at 08:30 and finish at 16:30, on March 8th, 2024.
