Skopje, 15 August 2023 (MIA) — The short film "Sugar People" directed by Suzana Dinevski will be screened at several international festivals in September.

The film was chosen in the official selection at the Love & Hope International Film Festival which will be held Sept. 15-22 in Barcelona, Spain, where it has been nominated as Best Inspirational Short Film. It has also made the 30 films chosen for the 17th Lecce Film Fest in Italy, Sept. 5-9.

"Sugar People" will also be screened at the International Human Rights Film Festival Albania, held on Sept. 18-23 in Tirana, and at the Castel Lagopesole International Short Film Festival in Southern Italy, on Sept. 1-3.

The short has won 23 awards and has been selected for 65 film festivals. Sara Klimoska and Filip Trajkovikj play the main roles. The screenplay is by Vladimir Jankovski and Suzana Dinevski. The film was fundedby the North Macedonia Film Agency. ssh/mr
