Skopje, 29 December 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has extended New Year's greetings, wishing citizens good health, progress, peace and well-being.

"When a year is ending, we go back and wonder if we have done enough for a better society, if we have paid enough attention to the close ones, if we have done at least one good deed without expecting nothing in return, if we have faced the challenges and learned a lesson. If the answer is affirmative, then the outgoing year was a success," says Speaker Xhaferi in the note.

He wishes that 2024 is full of beautiful things and positives, respect and understanding among people.

"Let it be a year when we feel and share the warmth of solidarity, believe and reflect hope. I wish that we administer successful elections, see economic growth and walk the EU path. I wish you good health and progress in light of the New Year 2024, and quality time spent with your families. Peace and well-being in your homes and in the Republic of North Macedonia," says Xhaferi.
