Skopje, 10 November 2025 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met Monday with Tirana-based Saudi Arabia Ambassador to North Macedonia, Faisal bin Ghazi Hefzi, and reaffirmed the need for closer cooperation between the Parliament and the Consultative Assembly or Shura Council.

Speaker Gashi said an MP group for cooperation with parliaments from the countries of the Middle East has been operating in the Parliament for several terms.

Ambassador Ghazi Hefzi voiced expectation that bilateral ties in the future would focus on enhancement of economic cooperation and signing of agreements in the fields of investments, free trade and civil aviation, the Parliament said in a press release.

Interlocutors also expressed hope that cooperation would strengthen in the coming period through facilitation of the bilateral visa regime.
