Tirana, 14 September 2023 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski met Thursday with the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) Executive Director, Montserrat Marín López, at the sidelines of the Berlin Process conference of ministers of interior in Tirana.

Spasovski and Marín López agreed that cooperation between the Ministry of Iinterior and CEPOL has been continued and of enormous importance in creating conditions for modern policing, the MoI said in a press release.

Spasovski said about 120 MoI representatives have attended CEPOL training sessions since 2017, aimed at strengthening the capacities of authorities in the Western Balkans in the fight against organized crime and terrorism.

Marín López said she and her team would visit North Macedonia next year, for the purpose of presenting a new set of trainings, reads the press release.
