Snezhana Koneska Rusi wins Vojdan Chernodrinski Festival lifetime achievement award

Prilep, 6 May 2025 (MIA) — Macedonian actress Snezhana Koneska Rusi is the winner of this year's Vojdan Chernodrinski Macedonian Theater Festival lifetime achievement award. She will receive the award at the opening of the festival, which will be held June 6-13 in Prilep, MIA's Prilep correspondent reports.
In its 59th year, the theater festival will also award Sonja Mihajlova and Goce Todorovski for their acting achievements.
Snezhana Koneska Rusi (b. 1952; Nish, Yugoslavia) has had an acting career spanning 50 years. She has appeared in 48 theater plays as well as numerous films and TV shows. She has also written scripts for children's music festivals and various children's shows, voiced many children's cartoon characters and performed in many children's radio dramas broadcast by Macedonian Radio Television's Radio Skopje.
For her previous work, she has won two Vojdan Chernodrinski Macedonian Theater Festival awards, for best actress in a leading role in 1991 and for best actress in a supporting role in 1976. In 1974, she received the Macedonian newspaper Mlad Borec's best young actor award. In 1992, she was awarded the City of Skopje's November 13 award for her distinguished achievement in the dramatic arts. mr/
