Bitola, 23 May 2023 (MIA) — More than 120 young artists and their art teachers from China, India, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Serbia have arrived in Bitola to take part in the 42nd edition of the Small Montmartre of Bitola art colony.

According to MIA's Bitola correspondent, the art colony will officially open at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius children's art studio in Bitola's Old Bazaar at 7 pm.

Celebrating the children's art studio's 55th anniversary, organizers will also open an exhibition of works from the 41st Small Montmartre of Bitola art colony. They will also award the art colony's main prize to young artists from Hong Kong.

In addition to Bitola, participants will visit and paint in Ohrid and the St. Bigorski monastery as well.

Also planned are two special Small Montmartre of Bitola art exhibitions: one to be put on display at the Greek consulate and one at the Bulgarian consulate in Bitola. mr/
