Skopje to host conference on NATO's 75th anniversary
- The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade with support of our sister foundation from Brussels, the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, is organizing a high-level conference on behalf of the 75th anniversary of the creation of NATO title as “NATO – 75 Years of Unity, fostering Cooperation and ensuring Collective Defence: Security Challenges for Europe.”
Skopje, 5 November 2024 (MIA) - The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade with support of our sister foundation from Brussels, the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, is organizing a high-level conference on behalf of the 75th anniversary of the creation of NATO title as “NATO – 75 Years of Unity, fostering Cooperation and ensuring Collective Defence: Security Challenges for Europe.”
The event will take place on Tuesday at the Big Amphitheatre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, is set to deliver opening remarks at the event. The conference will also feature addresses from the Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski as well as the US and German Ambassadors, Angela Aggeler and Petra Drexler.
The initiative will bring together most relevant state actors, representatives of the international community in the country, experts in the field of defence, security and international relations from North Macedonia as well as from the region, who will jointly discuss the current security challenges affecting the region and Europe, emphasizing the necessity of more intensive cooperation in times of a constantly changing and uncertain security and geopolitical circumstances.
