Skopje to host 2025 EYOF

Maribor, 31 July 2023 (MIA) - The National Olympic Committee of North Macedonia announced on Monday that Skopje will host the 2025 Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF).
National Olympic Committee President Daniel Dimevski, Secretary General Sasho Popovski, and European Olympic Committees (EOC) President Spyros Capralos signed the agreement on organizing the sports event on Monday in Maribor, the city that hosted this year's edition of EYOF, reads the press release.
The agreement includes sections on the basic principles of organizing the games, accommodation, venues and facilities, sports infrastructure, setting the list of sports, ceremonies, financial, marketing and commercial matters, PR and media and other items related to successful organization of the games, which will be held in the period July 20-26, 2025.
"We are ready to accept the challenge of hosting the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival in 2025 and to organize an unforgettable European multi-sport event for young athletes. We are privileged to have this incredible opportunity and extraordinary obligation to host the best young European athletes thanks to the trust of the European Olympic Committees," said Dimevski.
"From an organizational point of view, we have a lot of work ahead of us, but given that we have the support of the European Olympic Committees, as well as the Government of North Macedonia and the Mayor of the City of Skopje, who received this wonderful news with great pleasure, we can only say that we are ready to host incredible games in Skopje in 2025," he added.
