Siljanovska-Davkova to take part in leaders' summit as part of Brdo-Brijuni Process

Skopje, 5 October 2025 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is paying Sunday a working visit to Durres, Albania, to take part in a meeting of the Western Balkan leaders as part of the Brdo-Brijuni Process.

This year’s summit will focus on several topics, including European integration, EU’s Growth Plan, youth policy and brain drain as well as regional cooperation and security, the President’s office said.

The process aims at integrating all countries in the region into the European Union and stabilizing developments in the Western Balkans by enhancing regional cooperation. Western Balkan leaders as part of the Brdo-Brijuni Process meet at least once a year, said the press release.

The Brdo-Brijuni Process is a joint initiative launched by the presidents of Slovenia and Croatia. The first meeting was held in 2013 in Brdo pri Kranju.
