Siljanovska-Davkova officially welcomed in Slovakia, holds tête-à-tête and delegation talks

Skopje, 2 June 2026 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Slovakia, was welcomed Tuesday in Bratislava with the highest state and military honors by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini.
They then held a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by a plenary session between the Macedonian and Slovak delegations.

The talks focused on assessing and advancing bilateral relations, with an emphasis on political cooperation, the country’s long-standing EU integration process and Slovakia’s support in that regard. The dialogue also covered economic cooperation, trade and investment as well as opportunities for strengthened partnership in energy, infrastructure, tourism and innovation.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current security and geopolitical situation in Europe, cooperation within NATO, as well as the need for stability and a clear European perspective for the region.

During the official visit, the Macedonian President will also meet with National Council of Slovakia Speaker Richard Raši and Deputy PM and Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák.
