Siljanovska-Davkova – Begaj: EU member states want to see region in the EU very soon
- On the sidelines of the Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders’ meeting in Durrës, Albania, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova held a meeting with her Albanian counterpart, Bajram Begaj, during which she welcomed the Albania’s progress in the EU integration process and the opening of the fifth out of a total of six clusters.

Skopje, 6 October 2025 (MIA) - On the sidelines of the Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders’ meeting in Durrës, Albania, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova held a meeting with her Albanian counterpart, Bajram Begaj, during which she welcomed the Albania’s progress in the EU integration process and the opening of the fifth out of a total of six clusters.
In a press release, the President’s Office said the meeting discussed the current progress of negotiations between Albania and the EU, as well as the way they are being managed.
“President Begaj said some of the Union’s member states want to see the region in the EU very soon,” Siljanovska-Davkova's Office said.
Begaj expressed readiness to help and support the Macedonian Euro-integration process, adding that EU membership guarantees the rule of law, protection of human rights, and strengthened democratic capacities.
The meeting affirmed the need to foster a mutual partnership on a multilateral level and expand cooperation in all areas.
