Siljanovska Davkova awards 38th Ohrid Swimming Marathon winners

Ohrid, 31 August 2025 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova as patron of the Ohrid Swimming Marathon awarded the swimmers who won the competition according to their times recorded at the interruption of the race.


According to an official press release, Mayte Puca from Argentina won the women's marathon race. Matteo Furlan from Italy won first place in the men's marathon race. Federico Tamborrino, also from Italy, won second place and Matias Diaz Hernandez from Argentina won third place.

Siljanovska-Davkova congratulated the the 38th Ohrid Swimming Marathon winners and all marathon swimmers, praising their endurance, dedication and sportspersonship.

 

She wished them good health and new sporting successes.

This year, 16 swimmers from six countries competed in the race, 10 in the men's and six in the women's competition, including four Macedonian competitors. 


Severe wind and waves, however, disrupted the marathon midway and officials stopped the race. mr/
