Skopje, 18 October 2021 (MIA) - The incumbent mayor and candidate running for mayor of the City of Skopje supported by SDSM-led coalition Petre Shilegov said Monday that they enter the second round equal to the candidate supported by VMRO-DPMNE, Danela Arsovska thus announcing a great victory. Shilegov at today’s press conference assessed Sunday's vote as successful and as a holiday of democracy and congratulated all the candidates for the result in the first round and the citizens who voted. “I want to thank the citizens for their support in the first round of elections. We enter the second round of elections evenly. Skopje must move forward and I strongly believe that the citizens of Skopje in the second round of elections will come out in much larger numbers to support the policies that has completely changed Skopje over the past four years. We have implemented a lot of projects in the interest of the citizens,” Shilegov said. He encouraged all citizens to go out and vote en masse in the second round.
