Skopje, 27 September 2022 (MIA) – A 24-year-old Serbian national was detained for migrant smuggling near the Kumanovo village of Rechica on Tuesday. The Serbian national, who transported seven migrants from Syria in his vehicle, did not stop when signaled by police officers but was later caught, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. The migrants attempted to flee but were intercepted and taken to a police station. They will later be transferred to the reception-transit center for further processing, while the driver will be charged accordingly.
