Paris, 11 August 2024 (dpa/MIA) - Serbia defeated Croatia 13-11 at the Paris Games on Sunday to collect their third consecutive Olympic gold medal in men's water polo.

World champions Croatia were trying to get revenge after their defeat at Rio 2016 to the now three-time Olympic champions. But they were behind through all four quarters and had to settle for silver again.

Bronze went to the United States, who defeated record nine-time Olympic winners Hungary 3-0 in a penalty shoot-out following a 8-8 draw.
