Skopje, 12 February 2024 (MIA) - The State Election Commission (SEC) in cooperation with the Media Information Agency (MIA) is organizing a workshop for journalists on the upcoming 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The workshop will be held on February 16, 2024, starting at 9 am, at SEC offices on the first floor.

"The goal of the workshop is to advance the information process at upcoming elections by developing practices that will support the democratic spirit and mutual cooperation between SEC and media, with emphasis on the role of journalists and their contribution to the credibility and integrity of elections, as well as the transparency and openness to citizens. We expect to share and solve possible dilemmas," SEC said in a press release on Monday.

Applications for the workshop should be sent to press@sec.mk or call 076/ 341-011, no later than 10 am on February 15, 2024.

The workshop is planned for a maximum of 25 people, if applications exceed that number an additional workshop will be organized. SEC will provide further information about the date. ssh/sk/
