Scope of most vulnerable categories, part of anti-crisis measures, to be extended if necessary: minister
Skopje, 17 November 2022 (MIA) - Starting from December, the most vulnerable categories of citizens will be awarded financial support, which is part of the new set of anti-crisis measures. It is also likely that the scope of citizens identified as being in the most vulnerable category could be extended, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska told Thursday's conference "New forms of employment on the changing labor market,", organized by the International Labor Organization, the Association for Labor and Social Right and Impakt Foundation. Single parents, welfare beneficiaries, people with disabilities over 26 and children with disabilities, people receiving payments according to a law through the Employment Agency in the next four months will receive a monthly payment of 3,000 denars as additional income, said Trenchevska. Pensioners receiving up to 14,000 denars, she added, will be divided into two categories. The first category includes people receiving minimum pension up to 11,525 denars and they will be paid 1,500 denars per month in the next four months. The second category of pensioners receiving from 11,525 up to 14,000 denars will be paid 750 denars per month. Also, compensation for care services provided by a third party will be 3,000 denars in the next four months and the people with disabilities will be paid 750 denars each, the Minister explained. "These categories have been identified as being the most vulnerable categories, which so far were left out of the set of anti-crisis measures. The government is following the situation and if necessary, the scope will be extended," said Trenchevska. She also added that new measures for businesses are being defined. "The Economic and Social Council has been defining measures for the economy to help businesses spend the winter more easily," Trenchevska said announcing the economic ministers soon will announce new measures
