SARS-CoV-2 'Kraken' subvariant reaches Greece
Athens, 12 January 2023 (MIA) — Six cases of the new and highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5, nicknamed 'Kraken,' have been confirmed in Greece.
According to the National Public Health Organization of Greece, these are the country's first cases of XBB.1.5, the most transmissible SARS-CoV-2 strain so far. All were logged in the Attica region, including the Greek capital. mr/
