Skopje, 1 December 2025 (MIA) - As of Monday, the system of street cameras dubbed "Safe City" will record traffic misdemeanors. The trial period will last for a month, followed by its full implementation as of 1 January 2026.

During the initial period, drivers will be fined for speeding, running on a red light, expired driving licenses and parking violations, with the scope of violations to be enlarged in the following stage.

The system will work in a way that citizens get text messages informing them of the traffic violation, along with the fine order.
