Skopje, 12 July 2022 (MIA) – Russia did not interfere, is not interfering and does not intend to interfere in the domestic affairs of any country, including North Macedonia, says the Russian Embassy to Skopje regarding recent statements by President Stevo Pendarovski on Russia’s activities in the country and the Balkan region. The Embassy’s response comes following the statements by President Pendarovski in an interview with TV21 on July and Greek daily Ethnos on July 10. “We reject the accusations directed against our country, which oppose the very philosophy of the Russian foreign policy. It is well-known these attempts have never produced the desired effect and eventually discredit those who use such methods. We respect any choice of the Macedonian people, we are prepared to further build our cooperation based on this – mutual respect and equality,” reads the press release.
