Skopje, 25 January 2025 (MIA) - Partly wet roads are reported nationwide, with moderate traffic outside urban areas and no delays at border crossings.

Visibility is reduced due to fog, ranging from 50 to 100 meters, on the roads Shtip – Negotino, Negotino – Demir Kapija – Udovo, Veles – Skopje, Skopje – Veles, Skopje – Kumanovo, Kumanovo – Skopje. On the roads Kumanovo – Stracin, Delchevo – Makedonska Kamenica, and Veles – Shtip, visibility is up to 100 meters, while it ranges from 20 to 50 meters on the Skopje – Tetovo road.

Fog reduces visibility at road sections in Gostivar, Tetovo, Skopje, Veles, Katlanovo, Strumnica, Kochani, Shtip and Saramzalino, says the Auto-Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM).

As of Nov. 15, 2024, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2025.

Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
