Munich, 11 April 2025 (dpa/MIA) - Bayern Munich have made an official contract offer to Germany international Leroy Sané, according to TV broadcaster Sky.
Thursday's report added that head of sport Max Eberl wants to keep the winger for three more years and has received approval from his fellow board members.
The 29-year-old would be out of contract at the end of June and has had to watch Bayern agree new deals with other names including Joshua Kimmich and Manuel Neuer in recent months.
After agreeing to release Thomas Müller at the end of his deal in the coming months, the Bundesliga leaders have finally turned their attention to Sané.
He appears to have convinced the club that he should stay with his Bundesliga-high nine goals this term.
"We are pleased that Leroy is currently in such good form; we need that when Jamal Musiala is unavailable," Eberl recently said following Bayern's 3-1 victory over Augsburg, in which Sané scored again.
"Leroy doesn’t need to prove his worth to us in individual matches."
English Premier League club Arsenal had been linked in the media with the former Schalke and Manchester City attacker.
