Martyr Kodrat Korintian

When in 249 after Christ the emperor Dekius Trayan took the roman throne, the Christians faced with one of the most difficult periods in their history. At that time many were imprisoned only for believing in Christ. Kodrat, who lived in the city of Nicomidia, used to visit his imprisoned brothers bringing them food and water. On their trial, he said he was also a follower of the Christ and he was killed together with his brothers.

St. Turbius Mongroveian

He was born in 1538 in Spain. He spent several years working as a missioner in Lima, South America. As bishop he fought against the Spanish immigrants who acted badly against the Indians. He died in 1606.
