Presidents Radev, Pendarovski discuss possibility for Bulgaria to help extinguish fire near Kocani
Sofia, 3 August 2021 (BTA/MIA) – Bulgarian President Rumen Radev discussed over the phone late on Monday with his counterpart from North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, the fire raging in the remote mountainous are near the town of Kocani, located in the eastern part of North Macedonia, Radev' press secretariat reported on Tuesday.
The two heads of state have discussed the possibility for Bulgaria to help with extinguishing the fire with firefighting equipment.
President Radev has familiarized Stevo Pendarovski with the situation involving fires in Bulgaria, which is also complicated.
Caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev has talked over the phone with North Macedonia's Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on Tuesday, Cabinet's press service reported. Yanev has expressed readiness for Bulgaria to render assistance to North Macedonia in dealing with the fires raging there.
