Presidential elections 2024: 915 local and 544 foreign observers to monitor Wednesday's vote

Skopje, 24 April 2024 (MIA) - A total of 1,601 observers, foreign journalists and interpreters have been accredited to monitor Wednesday's first round of the 2024 presidential elections.
The State Election Commission (SEC) said that 915 local and 544 foreign observers were accredited as well as 84 interpreters and 58 foreign journalists.
A total of 752 local observers from the Wake Up Association have been accredited as well as 344 OSCE/ODIHR observers.
The other accredited monitors include Civil-Center for Freedom, Inkluziva-Kumanovo, Foundation Roma for Democracy, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), National Democratic Institute (NDI)-Skopje, training centre of the Georgia Electoral Commission, Embassy of Slovakia to Skopje, and the European Dialogue and Democracy Association from Bergen (Norway).
The presidential elections will also be covered by 58 foreign journalists from Reuters, Agence France-Presse (AFP), Euronews Albania, European Pressphoto Agency (EPA), Al Jazeera Balkans, Voice of America in Macedonian, Top Channel Albania and others.
The second round of the 2024 presidential elections is set to take place on May 8.
