President Siljanovska Davkova pardons ten convicts

Skopje, 23 October 2024 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova pardoned ten convicts, including former Bitola mayor Vladimir Taleski.

The decision, published in the Official Gazette, doesn’t include information on the crimes they had been tried for.

Prison sentences are replaced by conditional sentences for the convicts Akif Ravmanovski, 1,3 years; Nikola Trpcheski, one year; and Shenol Maslani, six months.

Muharem Ali, Todor Popov, Tomislav Simeonov, Pero Kuzmanovski, Zhivko Delidzakov, and Marjan Efremov, who was a defendant in the so-called Spy scandal, have been partially pardoned.

The President signs pardoning decisions after receiving recommendations by the pardoning commission, which is a permanent body in service of the President.
