President Siljanovska Davkova meets Serbian FM Djuric

Skopje, 13 June 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Thursday with Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric who is attending the Summit of heads of state and government of the participants in the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), and reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between both countries characterized by a traditional friendship.

The President's Office said in a press release that meeting participants expressed willingness for furthering the overall cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Interlocutors also exchanged opinions on current political developments in both countries, the region and the European perspective.

President Siljanovska Davkova stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation within the frameworks of regional initiatives, which is in the interest of stability, prosperity, and economic development in the region, and in the spirit of good neighborliness.

The press release adds they also underlined the need of using the developmental potential of the economy and trade exchange, investments, infrastructural and energy connectivity between Serbia and North Macedonia. ssh/ik/
