Skopje, 15 November 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process, the screening process and transposition of the Macedonian legislation with the EU Acquis were in the focus of Tuesday’s meeting of President Stevo Pendarovski with Member of European Parliament (MEP) and Leader of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, Iratxe García Pérez. Pendarovski and García Pérez discussed the pace of reform processes and current political developments in the country, the President’s Office said in a press release. Interlocutors exchanged opinions on the latest security and economic circumstances in Europe, EU developments, as well as priorities and objectives of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the EP. President Pendarovski thanked the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats for its continued support to North Macedonia’s integration, reaffirmed in the EP resolutions, adding that parliamentary cooperation is exceptionally important and necessary in the process of North Macedonia’s Union accession, reads the press release.
