Skopje, 12 June 2025 (MIA) -- Five years after his death, Bernhard Hollemann's works painted during his stay in Macedonia will be shown at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The exhibition, titled "Three Stories," focuses on his paintings inspired by praying mantises, wine and the monastery of St. Naum of Ohrid.
"The retrospective offers an opportunity to visitors to experience art connecting the natural, the human-made and the transcendental. Through his works, Hollemann illustrates the cultural dialogue between Austria and Macedonia, leaving a significant mark on the European art scene," organizers said.
The show was organized by Ikon Culture Association. Hollemann's paintings will be on view through the end of June.
