Skopje, 29 December 2024 (MIA) - Police officers found ten migrants in two cargo vehicles at the Bogorodica border crossing on Saturday.

Five migrants from Syria and one Turkish Kurd were found in a semi-trailer cargo vehicle with Skopje register plates, driven by a 49-year-old Skopje resident, while four Syrians were found in another semi-trailer cargo vehicle with Serbian plates, driven by a 41-year-old Serbian national.

The migrants have been handed over to the department for cross-border crime, migration, foreigners and readmission for further processing.

Investigation in the case is underway, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
