Police detain migrant smuggler, find eight Syrians
Skopje, 14 April 2023 (MIA) - Police officers detained late Thursday a 36-year-old Strumica citizen near Gevgelija under the suspicion of migrant smuggling.
The Ministry of Interior said the person was caught during a transfer of eight migrants from Syria from another vehicle into his own.
The migrants have been transferred to the Gevgelija-based reception-transit center for further processing.
