Swedish pole vault superstar Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis has surpassed his own world record yet again, clearing 6.22m on Saturday evening.

"It's unbelievable, I don't know what to say," the 23-year-old Olympic champion was quoted as saying by French media after his win at the All Star Perche, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting in the French town of Clermont-Ferrand.

"I don't even really remember the last minutes or the last jump," he added.

It was Duplantis' third attempt at breaking his own world record of 6.21m which he cleared at the World Athletics Championships Oregon22.

The Swedish superstar has set a total of six world records already, according to World Athletics.

His first came when he improved on Renaud Lavillenie's previous world record of 6.16m by 1 centimetre in February 2020.
