Bitola, 28 August 2025 (MIA) -- Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on a visit to the Bitola coal-fired power plant offered his best wishes to Orthodox believers on the great feast of the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God celebrated in Orthodox churches nationwide and to Macedonian miners celebrating Macedonian Miners Day, Aug. 28.
"These are days we celebrate, we meet, we gather together, we speak about our faith, spiritual strength and all the challenges in our daily lives," PM Mickoski said, adding that he believed the nation, united, would overcome any challenge.
Extending his best wishes to local coal miners, Mickoski recalled their traditional greeting "Good luck!" and said they were inspiring and pivotal for the Macedonian energy system and economy.
"I would like to wish them many nice days at work and great success because thanks to their sacrifices, hard work and daily toil here in the Mining and Energy Combine REK Bitola, we have energy stability, and energy stability means a stable economic growth of Macedonia and Macedonian economy," the prime minister said. mr/
