PM Kovachevski to attend 2nd European Political Community Summit

Skopje, 1 June 2023 (MIA) — Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi will take part Thursday in the 2nd European Political Community Summit in Chișinău, Moldova.
According to a government press release, the Moldovan capital will gather 47 European leaders, including the leaders of 27 EU member states and of the countries of the Western Balkans, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and Great Britain. Also attending are members of the European Commission, the European Council, and the European Parliament.
Prime Minister Kovachevski, in addition to participating in a panel on energy and connectivity, will have several bilateral meetings, including with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, and the host, Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean.
The discussions of the second EPC Summit will focus on three main topics: joint efforts for peace and security; energy resilience and climate action; and interconnections in Europe for a better connected and more stable continent. mr/
