Skopje, 18 December 2023 (MIA) - Panel discussion "Geopolitical EU enlargement: New opportunities, old risks?", organized by the Skopje Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) and PolitikUm-Sustainable and Innovative Policies Institute, will be held in the Daut Pasha Hammam on Monday.

PolitikUm President and Party of European Socialists (PES) Vice-President, Radmila Shekerinska, and FES Director in North Macedonia, Peter Hurrebrink, will provide the opening remarks at the event.

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, Member of European Parliament (MEP) and Chair of the Delegation to the EU-North Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee, Andreas Schieder, and ELIAMEP Board President Loukas Tsoukalis will address the panel moderated by Law University Professor Renata Deskoska.

The event aims to focus on these questions, taking into account recent developments, views of domestic and EU leaders and experts, as well as the results of brainstorming foresight
consultations that took place throughout 2023 gathering progressive political voices, experts, opinion-makers, and journalists, say the organizers.
