Pianist Dunja Ivanova to give solo concert in Vienna

Skopje, 24 June 2024 (MIA) - Macedonian pianist Dunja Ivanova will give Monday a solo concert at the Feurich Performing Stage in Vienna.

She will perform pieces by the late Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and the Polish pianist and composer Hania Rani.

The Vienna concert is part of the Culture Ministry’s 2024 international program.

Ivanova, who holds a master’s degree in piano and philosophy, in addition to performing at festivals in the country, has held concerts in New York, Paris, Sarajevo, Ragusa, Pristina, Podgorica and Tirana.

She has become renowned for her recitals dedicated to the music of Zbigniew Preisner, Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi, Arbo Pert, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Michael Nyman, David Fedel, etc. 

Ivanova teaches piano at the music and ballet school in Skopje.
