Philharmonic to perform in Podgorica and Dubrovnik

Skopje, 4 July 2023 (MIA) — Conducted by Borjan Canev and featuring Marija Gjoshevska as piano soloist, the Philharmonic will give a concert in Podgorica, Montenegro, on July 4, and in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on July 6.

 

The orchestra will perform the Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 22 by Camille Saint-Saëns, Pajdushko by Macedonian composer Filip Ivanov, and the Symphony No. 4 in B♭ major, Op. 60 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

 

The Dubrovnik concert program will also include Croatian composer Blagoje Bersa's Idyll for Orchestra.

 

 

The concerts come after the orchestra's performances in Belgrade and Nish, Serbia.

 

"We are performing in Croatia at the invitation of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, and in Podgorica, we are performing thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and the Montenegrin Ambassador Marija Petrovic," Philharmonic director Tina Ivanova said in a press release. mr/
