Skopje, 30 November 2023 (MIA) - Meeting with James O'Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, as reaffirmation for the strong support to North Macedonia's membership in the European Union, Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday.

Petrovska says integration is key to guaranteeing the security and prosperity of the region and North Macedonia.

"US is EU's closest global partner. With North Macedonia as member, the Union will be stronger and more united. Macedonian citizens are living the European values and we therefore belong to the big family of European nations. Integration is the best answer to the rising harmful influence by third parties in the region. Let's make bold and statehood decisions that will open the path to a more prosperous future for our citizens," says Minister Petrovska.
