Petkov: Bulgaria to upgrade position with additional working groups with N. Macedonia
Sofia, 18 December 2021 (MIA) – The Sofia-Skopje dispute is not a process of concessions but a process of upgrade, Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov has said in an interview with a TV political show of the Bulgarian National Television.
Asked whether Bulgaria should make concessions for the Republic of North Macedonia, Petkov said he had clearly presented the next steps in the dispute with the neighboring country, MIA’s Sofia correspondent reports.
Bulgaria, he said, will upgrade its position with additional working groups on economy, infrastructure, culture allowing the parties to make progress as regards the EU accession process.
The government has set a six-month deadline, which I made it clear, stated the new Bulgarian PM.
