Pendarovski: Mobilization in Russia to only exacerbate situation
Skopje, 22 September 2022 (MIA) – The order of President Vladimir Putin for partial mobilization in Russia can only exacerbate the situation in Ukraine and the entire world, says President Stevo Pendarovski. President Pendarovski told Klan TV Macedonia that he cannot anticipate the course of events but if President Putin orders the use of nuclear weapons, “the world will be in chaos”. “The latest developments and the mobilization of 300,000 reservists will only exacerbate the situation. This shows that the man is living in a parallel reality. I fear that if he continues to produce failures on the military field, he might think of undertaking more radical measures, even as some analyses have said, tactical nuclear weapons, which would be disastrous for the world. One cannot use nuclear weapons at a micro-level for achievement of some partial objectives. If this happens, God forbid, it would mark the start of a nuclear war and we all know how that ends. It will not be a Hollywood movie, it will be a horror movie with all of us in it,” says Pendarovski. On the other hand, he adds, I am pleased that the entire democratic world, even those countries that are less democratic, has united over this direct aggression of one UN and Security Council member against another UN member, not only by sending weapons but also politically condemning it. “Back in March, 141 states condemned the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Such a majority against a big country has never happened in UN’s history,” says Pendarovski.
