Skopje, 16 May 2023 (MIA) — President Stevo Pendarovski hosted Tuesday the German Federal Government Special Representative for the Countries of the Western Balkans Manuel Sarrazin. At their meeting, they discussed North Macedonia's European integration process as well as the latest political developments in the country and the region.

According to an official press release, President Pendarovski voiced his expectations of the German authorities to continue their strong support for the country's accession to the European Union.

He noted that speeding up the integration process would improve the region's political, security and economic stability.

Pendarovski also welcomed Sarrazin's important post as Germany's Special Representative for the Countries of the Western Balkans, which he said was another confirmation of the German government's commitment to supporting the region. mr/
